  • 1/2 pound pork tenderloin
  • 1/3 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cut the pork tenderloin into serving pieces. Place each piece between sheets of waxed paper. Pound the pork to 1/2-inch thick using a meat mallet.

Heat a lightly greased non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and onion and cook the pork for 2 minutes per side or until lightly browned.

Season the pork and onions with the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the marinara sauce over the pork.

Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium. Cook the pork for 3 minutes or until cooked through.

Sprinkle the pork with the Mozzarella cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Serve the Italian-style pork tenderloin immediately.
