6-8 large potatoes peeled and cubed
2 cups pasta shells or preffered pasta
3 cups half and half
1 1/2 cups shredded monteray jack cheese
1 cup shredded mild chedder cheese
1 sweet onion chopped
4 celery stalks sliced
2 cups sliced fresh carrots
1 can cream of celery soup
2 cloves garlic crushed
salt and pepper to taste


Boil potatos,onion,celery,and carrots until potatoes are soft. In seperate pot cook pasta till done then drain.Whwn potatoes are done add pasta and remaining ingredients.Reduce heat to low and simmer for half an hour stirring often to prevent scorching.Serve hot garnish with more shredded cheese and chives and carrot shreds.
