1 lb pkg rotini, cooked al dente
1 lb ground beef
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 cup chopped onion
1 (28 oz) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 tsp salt and basil
1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, undrained
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder and crushed red pepper
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated

In a skillet, brown beef and vegetables. Drain. Add next remaining ingredients except cheese. Simmer on low for 20 minutes. Combine cooked pasta and sauce. Layer pasta and cheese twice, ending with cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Serves 6-8
