UPSIDE DOWN PEACH COBBLER

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 (16 oz) can sliced peaches, drained, syrup reserved
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
Enough water to make 1 1/2 cups liquid added to reserved syrup

Combine dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in milk just until blended. Spread in a greased 9 inch square pan. Spoon peaches on top. In a saucepan, heat the liquid with brown sugar and butter until they melt. Pour over peaches. Mixture will be thin. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
