1 cup white rice, not instant, prepared according to pkg directions
1/4 cup cooked slivered pork, beef chicken, or small shrimp
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/3 cup sliced mushrooms and green onions, including tops
1/2 cup bean sprouts
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp soy sauce
Pepper, to taste

Heat rice in a well-greased skillet. Toss and add meat, vegetables and egg. Cook, stirring for 3 minutes over high heat. Add a little oil if the rice starts to stick. Add soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir for 1 minute longer. Serve with additional soy sauce if desired. Serves 4
