Cream cheese swirl
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp flour
Brownies
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups butterscotch chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a jelly-roll pan. Prepare cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg; beat well. Add flour and beat until incorporated. Set aside. In a saucepan, melt chips and butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and beat in the brown sugar until well blended. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Beat the eggs, one at a time, into the butterscotch mixture. Add the extract. Add the dry ingredients, beating well until combined. Stir in walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Drop the cream cheese mixture by tspfuls over the batter.

Using a knife, swirl the cream cheese mixture into the batter, forming a decorative pattern. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Do not over bake. Allow to cool at room temperature, or overnight, before cutting.
