1 lb fresh green beans, sliced and cooked until just tender
3 tbsp vinegar and vegetable oil
2 onions, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp dried dill weed seed
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper, to taste

Reserve 1/4 cup cooking liquid from the green beans and drain off the rest. Make a sauce by combining reserved stock and remaining ingredients, stirring until blended. Pour mixture over beans. Marinate in refrigerator several hours before serving. Serves 4
