Chocolate Chips
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cups salted butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened, shredded coconut

Double-Rich Chocolate Cookies
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 300 and grease a 13x9 inch baking pan.

Make Chocolate Chip Cookies: Combine dry ingredients; mix well. In a large blend sugars and butter, then add eggs and extract. Beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips, and mix just until combined. Press dough evenly into prepared pan and sprinkle with coconut. Set aside.

Make Double-Rich Chocolate Cookies: Combine dry ingredients; mix well. In a large blend sugars and butter, then add eggs and extract. Beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips, and mix just until combined.

Drop dough by rounded tsp onto chocolate chip cookie dough. Evenly space the darker dough on top of the lighter dough to resemble bulls eyes. Bake 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut.
