  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 small zucchini, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro or coriander, chopped
  • 1 cup Spanish stuffed green olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts
  • 4 rounds pita bread

Saute beef until crumbly in large skillet. Drain off fat. Remove meat and set aside.

Heat oil in skillet. Add green onions, zucchini, tomatoes and bell pepper. Saute 5 minutes. Stir in garlic salt, mixed herbs, chili powder, cilantro and tomato sauce. Add olives and peanuts.

Slice pitas in half to form pockets and stuff with mixture.
