Prep Time: Cook Time: Total Time:
Serves/Makes: 4
Difficulty: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
half of a Cantaloup, cubed and pureed in a food processor, yields about 1 cup
4 ounces Melon Vodka, recommend Smirnoff
2 ounces lemon simple syrup* (depending on the sweetness of your fruit, you may want to adjust the syrup amount)
1/2 cup heavy cream
mint sprigs for garnish
Preparation
In a blender combine 10 ice cubes and all ingredients except mint. Process until ice cubes are gone.
Divide evenly among 4 chilled martini glasses and garnish with mint.
*For Lemon Simple Syrup - Combine the juice of two lemons, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small sauce pan. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Keep this handy for all your drink needs.
Cooks Notes - I had just made my awesome Cantalope Bread and had a cup of the puree left. I couldn't waste it and came up with this drink. It is very fresh tasting and keeps the integrity of the fresh fruit.
