Serves/Makes: 6
Ready in: 30-60 minutes

  • 1 pound uncooked bratwurst links
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package (32 ounce size) frozen Tater Tots
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Remove the casings from the bratwurst. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bratwurst and onion. Cook, stirring frequently, until the bratwurst is browned. Drain off any excess grease.

Stir the cream of mushroom soup into the bratwurst. Mix well then transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish.

Place the tater tots in an even layer over the brat mixture. Spread the sour cream evenly over the top. Sprinkle with the cheese.

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tater tots are heated through.

Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes, then serve.
