1 cup packed brn sugar
1/2 cup maple flavored syrup
12 oz lightly salted mixed nuts
1 TBS butter or margarine
1 tsp baking soda
ATTN:: Microwave heating times vary...use caution and use less cooking times if needed.
Watch mixture as it cooks and don't let it boil over.
Heat oven to 200 degrees. Generously butter large cookie sheet; keep warm in oven.
In very large glass bowl mix brn sugar and maple syrup. Microwave uncovered on high 5 min.
Stir in nuts. Microwave uncovered on high 5 to 7 minutes or until bubbling and nuts are toasted -- syrup will be very hot.
Stir in butter. Microwave uncovered on high 1 min. Quickly and thoroughly stir in baking soda until mixture is light and foamy. Pour onto the buttered warm cooky sheet. Quickly spread candy.
Cool 30 to 60 min or until hardened. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container at room temp.
