1/2 cup flour
1 tsp paprika
1/4 to 1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp each celery seed and pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 3rds
2 tsp butter
1/4 cup each chopped onion and celery
3 mushrooms, sliced
1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
3 tbsp flour
1 cup evaporated milk
Cooked noodles
Combine first 6 ingredients and coat chicken pieces. Melt butter in a skillet and brown chicken on all sides. Remove and keep warm. Add vegetables and cook until tender. Return chicken to pan, add both. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until done. Remove chicken to make the gravy.
In a small bowl, whisk flour and milk together and add to pan. Cook and stir constantly until thick and bubbly. Reutrn chicken to pan and serve over cooked noodles. Serves 4
