Spicy Chinese Shrimp

- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and cut in thin strips
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut in thin strips
- cooked rice or noodles, for serving
- sliced green onion tops, for garnish
Stir together the soy sauce, crushed red pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion powder until well mixed. Heat the oil in a wok or heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add the bell pepper strips and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add the soy sauce mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until the shrimp is cooked through, about 3 minutes. Serve the shrimp and vegetables over rice or Asian-style noodles. Sprinkle with sliced green onion just before serving.
