Serves/Makes: 4
Ready in: < 30 minutes
- 1 package refrigerated pie dough
- jam or jelly
- frosting, optional
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Unfold the pie dough on a work surface. Cut into equal-sized rectangles. Gather the dough scraps and form into a ball then roll out with a rolling pin. Cut more rectangles until no more dough is left. Spread jam on half of the rectangles, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Top with the remaining rectangles. Crimp the edges of the dough to seal the jam inside. Place the pop tarts on a baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned and crispy. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Frost the pop-tarts as desired.
