Serves/Makes: 3
Ready in: < 30 minutes
- 1 pound sea scallops
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- salt
- black pepper
- paprika
Preheat the oven broiler. Rinse the sea scallops and dry with paper toweling. Place the scallops on a broiler pan in a single layer. Combine the melted butter and lemon juice. Brush half of the butter mixture over the tops of the scallops. Sprinkle the scallops with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place the scallops in the oven and broil 5 inches from the heat source for 3 minutes or until the scallops are starting to brown. Turn the scallops over and brush with the remaining butter mixture. Return the scallops to the oven and broil for 2-3 additional minutes or until the sea scallops are cooked through. Do not over cook the scallops or they will be tough.
