Fried Tostada Shells (Flat corn tortillas)
Seasoned Beef (see below)
Refried Beans
Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
Diced Roma Tomatoes
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Sour Cream
Sliced Black Olives
Taco Sauce of choice
Coat the tostada shell lightly with refried beans. Then add dollops of sour cream, then the beef. Then lettuce and tomatoes, followed by the cheese. Top with black olives. Serve with lots of napkins and taco sauce.

2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
Salt & pepper as desired
Garlic powder – about 2 tsp
Ground cumin – about 2 tsp
Fry the meat and onion until browned but not dry. Drain any excess grease as needed. Add the spices and season. Cook another minute or two to blend. That’s it.

Note: These are my copycat version of the ones from Taco Bell in the 1970's & 80's, that are no longer available. You can still buy them at Taco Casa, called a "Super Tostada" but of course the sauce is different.
