Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

This one came to me as I mixed up a chocolate concoction to put over sliced bananas. The next day with the leftover mixture I added oatmeal and nuts. Voila!

No-Bake Oatmeal & Maple Fudgies
makes approximately 12-14 cookies

Ingredients
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons corn syrup-dark or light will do
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup marshmallow cream
1/4 cup nutella or peanut butter or other nut butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts-I used walnuts, but any nut should work-especially peanuts!
2 packets of low-sugar maple flavored instant oatmeal.

Directions:
1.In a microwave-safe dish, melt together the chocolate chips, butter, corn syrup and unsweetened cocoa. Do this for approximately 3 minutes on power level 3 or it your microwave has a melting key-function use it.
2.Check every minute and stir i well, when it's almost all melted, take it out of the microwave immediately,
3. Stir it up and it will continue to melt and you don't run the risk of scorching your chocolate!
4. In a medium mixing bowl pour the 2 packets of oatmeal, nutella and the chopped nuts, nutella and pour the melted chocolate mixture over it,
5. Working quickly mix it until it's well blended.
6. Drop by 1 oz. scoops or teaspoons onto a greased or plastic lined baking sheet. Flatten if desired.
7. Let set in the refrigerator for several minutes and they are ready to eat!!
Add-Ins:
Dried cherries
Dried cranberries
Drizzle with melted caramels, melted white chocolate, dark or milk chocolate.
Add ½ cup chow mein noodles to mixture and reduce oatmeal to 1 packet.
