  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pimiento
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 cup crushed pecans, or other nuts

Combine the cream cheese, bell pepper, pimiento, onion, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

Place the crushed nuts in a shallow dish.

Form the mixture into balls and roll in the crushed nuts, coating them evenly. Place the cheese balls on a plate or tray and refrigerate until well chilled.

Let the cheeseballs come to room temperature before serving. Serve with crackers.
