Serves/makes: 6

1 package ramen noodles -- chicken flavored
1 head napa cabbage
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil, optional

Crush Noodles, place them in a medium skillet and brown in butter over medium heat. Add almonds and sesame seeds. Stir often to prevent burning. Add seasoning mix from noodles (I use about half) and cool.

Make the dressing: In a small saucepan, heat vinegar, oils, sugar, and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil, let boil for 1 minute. Remove the pan from heat and let cool.

Combine dressing, crunchies, and cabbage immediately before serving. Serve right away or the crunchies will get soggy.
