2 6 oz. pkg. Lime Jell-O
4 cups hot water
2 cups cold water
1 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 - 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1-2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 pkg. Dream Whip
1/2 cup milk
Combine Jell-O and hot water in a large bowl, stirring until dissolved. Pour in cold water; mix. Stir in pineapple, nuts and marshmallows. Refrigerate until mixture has thickened to a jelly-like consistency.
In a medium bowl, stir together the Dream Whip and milk. Whip until mixture is stiff. Fold into the Jell-O mixture gently, a small amount at a time until mixed well, leaving the Dream Whip as fluffy as possible.
Turn mixture into a 9x13-inch pan and refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
