1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup Light cream or half and half
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp steak sauce

Saute mushrooms and onions in the butter, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper and flour and gradually add liquid and cook, stirring until thickened. Add steak sauce and remaining ingredients to taste. Makes 1 1/2 cups

Variation: Instead of cream, use 2/3 cup milk and simmer. Then add 1/2 tsp sour cream but do not allow to boil.
