1 lb ground pork sausage
1 lb sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled, optional
1 onion, chopped
5 green bell peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces, optional
2 (28 oz) cans bold and spicy baked beans
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
3 cups bottled barbecue sauce
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground red pepper
1 tsp garlic powder

In a large pot, cook sausage until no longer pink and drain but reserve 2 tsp drippings in the pot. Return sausage to pot and add remaining ingredients. Bake, uncovered, at 350 until thick and bubbly, about 45 minutes. Serves 12
