1 cup oil
3 eggs
2 cups thinly sliced apples
1 cup walnuts chopped
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 cups self-rising flour

Mix ingredients and bake in a greased 10 inch springform pan at 350 for 45 minutes.

Caramel Topping
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cups each buttermilk and butter
1/2 tsp each vanilla extract and baking soda

Mix together and bring to a boil for a bout 5 minutes. Drizzle over warm cake slices.
