4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 (10 oz) tub refrigerated pizza crust
1 tbsp butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheet.
Mix cheeses and pepper in a small bowl. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle. Brush with half the butter; sprinkle with half the remaining cheese mixture. Roll lightly with rolling pin to press mixture into dough.
Fold dough in half lengthwise. Brush top with remaining butter, sprinkle with remaining cheese mixture and roll out with rolling pin until strip of dough is 6 inch wide. Cut crosswise into 3/4 inch wide strips.
Twist strips and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. Bake 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire rack to cool. Store airtight.
NOTE: Can be made 1 day ahead and refrigerated before baking. All to get to room temperature before cutting into strips. Can also be frozen up to 3 months. Allow to thaw to room temperature before cutting into strips.
