1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup butter
1 cups confectioners sugar
3 egg separated
1 1/2 oz bitter chocolate
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped topping

Mix together vanilla wafers and nuts. Sprinkle 1/2 of the mixture into a 9 inch square baking pan.

Cream butter with confectioners sugar. Add yolks and beat well. Melt chocolate and add vanilla extract. Stir into egg mixture.

Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into baking pan and cover with remaining crumbs. Place in refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Serve with whipped cream.
