1 cup butter, softened
2 tbsp grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped shallot or 2 tsp finely chopped red onion
2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground white pepper

In a small bowl, combine butter, Romano cheese, shallot, paprika and white pepper. Beat until well combined. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours before serving to allow flavors to blend. Bring butter to room temperature before serving.
