1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
1 1/2 cup water
3/4 cup uncooked processed white rice
1 lb canned stewed tomatoes
1 cup peas, cooked or frozen
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

In medium skillet, brown meat, stirring frequently. Drain fat. Stir in soup mix, water, rice, tomatoes and peas. Simmer, uncovered 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Top with cheese, and serve. Serves 4 to 6.
