6 cups chopped peeled baking apples
3 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
2 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour

Topping:
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter and shortening,
1/4 cup chopped pecans

Combine apples, cranberries, sugar and flour. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. In a bowl, mix first 3 topping ingredients and cut in butter and shortening until crumbly; add nuts to combine and sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serves 12
