Makes 6 servings.
Toffee Sauce
1/4 c. water
1 c. granulated sugar
1 T. butter
3/4 c. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Apple Crisp
8 c. peeled and sliced apples
1 1/2 c. halved fresh or frozen cranberries
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
5 1/2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
6 T. melted butter
Warm Toffee Silk
Preheat oven to 325F. Spread fruit evenly in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Combine brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; mix in oats.
Add butter; stir until mixture is crumbly and evenly moistened. Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake at 325F for 40 minutes, or until fruit is soft when tested with a skewer.
Serve with Warm Toffee Silk and ice cream.
