2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups uncooked old-fashioned or quick oats
3 squares (1 oz each) white chocolate, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
1/2 cup candied cherries, cut into halves
Preheat oven to 375. Lightly grease cookie sheets; set aside.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar and brown sugar in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy, scraping down side of bowl once. Beat in milk, egg and vanilla, scraping down side of bowl once. Gradually add flour mixture. Beat at low speed, scraping down side of bowl occasionally. Stir in oats until well blended. Stir in white chocolate and cherries.
Drop heaping tspfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes or until set. Let cookies stand on cookie sheets 1 minute. Remove cookies to wire racks; cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature or freeze up to 3 months.
