3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar, divided
2 tsp vanilla, divided
1 and 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup almond brickle chips
1/4 cup caramel or hot caramel topping

Mix butter, 1/2 cup of the sugar and 1 tsp of the vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour, mixing on low speed until blended. Press onto bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 20 to 23 minutes until lightly browned.

Mix cream cheese, remaining sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix well. Stir in chips. Pour over crust.

Drop tspfuls of caramel topping over cream cheese mixture. Gently run a knife through the batter to swirl the caramel topping. Bake for 30 minutes more. Cool in pan on wire rack. Refrigerate. Cut into bars.
