Whole round loaf of farm bread
1/4 lb very thinly cut prosciutto
1/4 lb guyere cheese or other sharp Swiss cheese
1/4 lb pesto
2-4 ripe tomatoes depending on their size or try sun-dried tomatoes

Cut the top off the loaf of bread and scrape out most of the loaf to make it hollow, reserving the torn out pieces for another use. Spread some of the pesto in the bottom of the bread hollow. Layer in prosciutto, cheese and tomatoes followed by more pesto. Repeat until the loaf is full. Replace lid and press down slightly. Wrap the sandwich in foil or parchment and weigh down in the bottom of the picnic basket or just leave it as is. Cut into 4-6 wedges and serve.
