Category: Fish and Seafood
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

White Sauce:
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp flour
1 cup milk
2 tbsp white wine
1-2 tbsp parmesan cheese

1 lb sea scallops
1/4 to 1/2 cups bread crumbs (I use Panko) depending on the size of your casserole dish
1/2 tsp thyme and onion salt
Additional grated parmesan cheese to taste
Melted butter

Prepare white sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour and cook for a minute or two. Add milk and continue to whisk until sauce thickens. Add wine and cheese.

Rinse and dry scallops (cut in half if scallops are large). Place scallops in a single layer in baking dish. Pour white sauce over scallops.

Mix bread crumbs, thyme, onion salt and cheese to taste. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over white sauce, drizzle with butter. Bake 350 degrees 15-20 minutes or until scallops are cooked. Serves 4

Great with a baked potato and a green vegetable.
