1/4 cup Vidalia onion, chopped
1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash garlic powder
3/4 cup clams, minced
1 cup clam broth or water
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tbsp parmesan cheese
16 slices bread, crusts removed
1/2 cup butter, melted
Saute onions in butter; remove form heat. Stir in next 3 ingredients and gradually stir in clams and liquid. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened and bubbly. Remove form heat; add cheeses and stir until melted. Cool.
Using a rolling pin, flatten bread and spread 1 1/2 tsp clam mixture on each slice of bread. Roll up. Slice into thirds and place seam side down on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
