6 medium yams
Vegetable oil
1/4 cup sour cream and milk
2 tbsp packed brown sugar and butter
1/8th salt
2 tbsp coarsely chopped pecans

Rub yams with oil. Prick all over with a fork. Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes or until tender. Cut thin lengthwise slice from each yam. Scoop out insides leaving a thin shell. Mash yams until no lumps remain. Beat in sour cream and milk. Beat in sugar, butter and salt until light. Stir in pecans.

Increase temperature to 400. Place yam shells in a greased baking dish. Fill shells with yam mixture. Bake, uncovered, until filling is golden about 20 minutes.
