20 Rhode’s Rolls, frozen
1 lb. ground hamburger meat
½ yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
12 ounces mushrooms, sliced
14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes, drained
12 ounces smoked provolone cheese, sliced deli-style
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
(1) Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking oil.
(2) Place the frozen Rhode’s rolls in pan, 5 across and 4 deep.
(3) Take the smoked provolone slices and cut then into quarters (1/4), and lay then in between the rolls, only use ½ of the cheese, so about 6 ounces. Cover with a kitchen towel and set aside.
(4) Next, in a large sauté pan, cook hamburger over medium-high heat until fully cooked, crumbling it while you are cooking it. Drain meat once it is completely cooked and set aside.
(5) Using the same pan, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and place over medium-high heat. Add in diced onion, diced green peppers, and sliced mushrooms, cook until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add in diced tomatoes and hamburger, stir...
