1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-size cubes
4 tsp olive oil, divided
1/2 cu chopped onion
1 medium green or red bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 (15 oz) can tomatoes and juice
2 tsp sugar
4 oz rotini pasta, cooked al dente, drained
Grated parmesan cheese

In a skillet brown meat in 2 tsp olive oil, about 3 minutes. Remove from pan; drain and set aside.

In same skillet, add remaining oil and saute onion and pepper for about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and basil; cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes with juice and sugar; bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in rained pasta and meat; meat through. Sprinkle with cheese and serve. Serves 4
