12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/2 cups popped popcorn
1 cup almonds or mixed nuts, unsalted

Melt chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in popcorn and nuts to coat evenly. Spread mixture evenly in wax paper-lined 13x9 inch baking pan. Refrigerate until firm. Break into pieces.

Variations: To make chocolate nut crunch, substitute 1 cup of any kind of nuts for the popcorn.

To make cookie nuts crunch, substitute 1 1/2 cups chocolate chip, peanut butter or other crisp cookies, broken into pieces, for the popcorn.
