4 boneless rib steak, about 1 inch thick and trimmed
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 tbsp butter
3/4 cup chopped onions
1 carrot, grated
1/4 lb mushrooms
2 tbsp minced parsley
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup water and sour cream
2 tbsp capers

Season flour with salt and pepper and dip steaks into mixture. Melt butter in a skillet and brown steaks on both sides. Add the vegetables and parsley. Let brown 5 minutes. Add bay leaf and water. Cover, cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Transfer to a platter and discard bay leaf. Place sauce in a blender and puree. Return to skillet, blend in sour cream and capers. Pour over steak.
