8 oz linguine, cooked al dente
1/2 lb sliced mushrooms
1/2 lb frozen, peeled shrimp, thawed
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
3/4 tsp dried basil
2/3 cup water

Drain pasta and set aside. Meanwhile, sauté mushrooms and shrimp in 2 tbsp butter with mushrooms until tender. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a large pan; add garlic. Stir in cream cheese, breaking up with a spoon as it melts. Stir in parsley and basil. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in water and mix until smooth. Add the cooked shrimp and mushrooms and heat through. Toss with the cooked linguine and serve.
