1 1/2 lb spareribs
1 lemon, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup water
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup sugar

Lay ribs, meaty side up in a shallow roasting pan. Place a slice of lemon and onion on each. Roast at 450 for 30 minutes. In a saucepan combine remaining ingredients; bring all to a boil. After ribs have cooked 30 minutes in oven, add sauce and continue baking in oven on hour at 350. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce thickens, add more water.
