1 can tomato soup
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp Dijon-style mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 lbs boneless beef sirloin steak, 1 inch thick
Mix ingredients and reserve 3/4 cup marinade for sauce and refrigerate. Pour remaining mixture into a resealable bag and marinade steak in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Grill over medium-hot coals to desired doneness, about 25 minutes total time, turning once. Thinly slice steak. Heat sauce and serve with steak. Serves 6
GRILLED FLANK STEAK WITH SPICE GARLIC SAUCE
2 1/2 lb flank steak, trimmed
2 tbsp minced ginger and soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil and sake
1 tsp pepper
Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp sake
2 tsp sugar and minced garlic
1 tsp sesame oil
Cross score steak 1/4 inch deep. Marinate with remaining ingredients overnight. Make sauce up to 1 day ahead and refrigerate. Grill steak on high heat, 7-9 minutes on each side. Allow to rest 10 minutes before slicing thinly across grain. Pour sauce over steak. Serve cool or at room temperature.
