1 cup butter
1 cup cream cheese
2 tsp sugar
2 cups flour
1 egg white beaten with 1 tbsp water, for glazing
Filling
1 cup nuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Cream first 3 ingredients until soft. Sift flour over; mix to form a dough. Gather into a ball; divide into halves. Flatten each piece, wrap in waxed paper; chill 30 minutes.
Mix together filling ingredients. Preheat oven to 375. Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Roll each half dough thinly into a circle about 11 inch diameter. Trim edges with a knife, using a dinner plate as a guide. Brush surface with egg glaze; sprinkle dough with half the filling. Cut dough into quarters and each quarter into four sections, to form 16 triangles. Starting from base of triangle, roll up to form spirals. Place on baking sheets; brush with remaining glaze. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 15-20 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
