1 lb small fresh mushrooms, halved or quartered
1 tsp horseradish
1/4 cup chopped pimento
1 tsp garlic Salt and pepper, to taste
3/4 cup oil
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup red wine
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tsp oregano

Place cleaned mushrooms in a bow.. Whisk remaining ingredients until combined and pour over mushrooms, mixing together. Cover; leave at room temperature at least 30 minutes; then refrigerate at least 5 hours, preferably overnight. Serve plain, with toothpicks, or on a bed of lettuce with sliced tomato and freshly chopped herbs.
