6 ears corn, cut off the cobs
3 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 cup warmed evaporated milk
Salt and pepper, to taste

In bacon drippings, saute the corn kernels until lightly browned. Add butter and heat until melted. Stir in the flour until smooth and gradually stir in the milk. Stir in crumbled bacon and cover. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serves 4
