1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, reserve juice
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 (11 oz) cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 (20 oz) can pears, drained and chopped
3 kiwi, peeled and sliced
2 large unpeeled apples, chopped
1 cup pecans

In a saucepan, add reserved juice, sugar and flour. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. In another bowl, beat egg and add some hot mixture to it, stirring to temper the egg and returned to saucepan. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a salad bowl, combine fruits. Pour dressing over and blend well. Cover and chill 1 hour.
