Filling
2 lbs golden delicious apples, peeled and quartered
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup raisins
2 tbsp lemon juice

Topping
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cu chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Grease the bottom of an 11x7 inch baking dish. Prepare filling: Cut apple quarters into 3 slices and place in a large bowl with remaining filling ingredients. Toss to combine. Set aside.

Topping: Mix flour and brown sugar. Blend in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in the oats. Arrange 2 layer of apple mixture in bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle with three quarters to topping mixture and half nuts. Repeat layering. Bake for 1 hour. Cool slightly on wire rack. Serve warm.
