1 3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt and cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg and cloves
1/2 cup nuts, chocolate chips or raisins, chopped
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
Brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400. In a bowl, combine first 7 ingredients. Stir in nuts, chocolate chips or raisins. In another bowl, add remaining ingredients except brown sugar. Pour into dry ingredients; gently stir until dry ingredients are just moistened. Do not over mix. Generously grease muffin pan and fill 2/3rds full. Heavily sprinkle top of each muffin with approximately 1 tbsp brown. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
