Shrimp and Asparagus
1 lb fresh asparagus, cut into bite-size pieces
1 (16 oz) pkg egg noodles or mini ziti
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup butter
Pinch red peper flakes
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 lb medium shrimp - peeled and deveined
1 lb fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of salted water to full boil, place the pasta in the pot and return to a rolling boil; cook until al dente. Drain well.

While pasta is cooking, saute asparagus, mushrooms and garlic in the olive oil, about 5 minutes.

Whilie asparagus is sauting, place the butter and lemon juice in a saucepan. Heat until the butter has melted. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes. Cook until the shrimp turns pink. Mix in the cooked aspsargus and mushroms. Toss with the pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
